Since there's no "too loud" check anymore, I suggest making three speakers: one playing Bass 2, two playing Bass 3. It's a pretty nice mix. they eventually get out of sync, though.

Also, as far as your 'fix' goes for 'infinite lag', it can be used to go through ceilings.
