I broke my regular laptop screen my leaning on it,its cracked and fizzy now :S

I had to wire it to a huge monitor,in which i think is worse because i cant look at the keyboard and and make lots of mistakes.

My sister did this so I hooked up her laptop to her flatscreen TV. It's all good, just, the monitor gets in the way. I wonder if you can chop that off without damaging the internals of the laptop that require video output.
