I don't get why it takes an engine change for just rotating bricks and building sideways like that. I'm no scripter, but there's no way for it to simply check if the two sides can attach, and just make the new brick float next to the first brick with a turned model (Maybe even a new model, that's just turned to the side or upside down, etc.)?

Probably because badspot has the function built into the game, and we cannot see that code to that function, so he would have to be the one that does it.

Why don't we help him make it? Unless he wants to make it himself.

We can't help him make it, probably because:
1. He knows how if it is possible
2. He knows it isn't possible, assuming it's not
3. He doesn't want to release the source code for something he worked hard on
