They're stock sound effects. Not everyone has the time to buy guns in real life and record the sounds, so some people just buy sound effects from other people that do have the time to buy guns and record the sound effects from them.

They're probably stock sound effects, Valve uses them a lot.

Nope, it's a prequel. It's set in 2027, Deus Ex is set in 2053, Invisible War in 2073.
