I didn't like the wilderness because of the PVP (Well, I did because if you got mad at someone, you could challenge them to a duel, which was cool), but because of the the mysteriousness about it. Because nobody left the bottom segment of it, not many people explored the top. So it was fun just to run up past all the players and go on "camping trips" and see how long you'd survive with only an axe and a tender box. Fun times...
