I have the 60GB one, its partly compatible but most of the time the games aren't compatible, I suggest getting a PS2 if you want to play those games.

yes, if your lame and get the stuffty cheap verson of the PS3, it wont play ps3 games.
so yes, the ps3 CAN play ps1/2 games just fine.
