There isn't a legal free version of CS 1.6. You can get CS 1.5, but it's the WON version. You will need to install Half-Life off of the original Sierra disk along with WON2 to play online. The copy you get off of Softpedia preloads it on steam, fairly similar to the steam bundles you can get on Fileplanet that come with "games" already installed. You still need to pay for them to play them. |

Counter Strike 1.6 is old. I think it is legit, if Portal was free for sometime, why Counter-Strike wouldn't be? |
