If any game is good, its rated M.
Seriously, almost all shooters are M, all good games are M, even RTS are becoming M.

But then again if it had it's rating re-done these days, it would be M because of the overprotective standards of all that stuff

I think it's because graphics keep getting better so things will get rated M for "Intense Violence".
