You have no business that close to a heavy, and the airblast is more than just "Pushing people away"

this is where the backburner can be used. get behind heavy --> heavy is dead. even if you dont get behind the heavy you can still circle strafe him and do loads more damage than you would with the normal flamethrower.
addendum: ambassador rules. i can 2-shot any spy with a revolver.

Regardless, that was not the intended use. It was meant to promote ambushing, now all it leads to is WM1. Any sane person would run from a heavy leaving it to a better suited class like a sniper.
Again, you're not supposed to be 2-shotting spies. You're supposed to be sneaking around behind enemy lines, sapping sentries, and taking out threats like heavy/medics.
The revolver is your secondary, what you're supposed to rely on what the knife can't get done, like if you're being chased. The Ambassador is nothing but an annoyance and another one of Valve's bastard children. It shouldn't even exist.
It was probably implemented to hush opportunist spies that go after snipers for free kils in light of the razorback.

I use Backburner, and I've taken down several heavies because I get behind them. Heavies are one of the easiest classes for me to take down, really. I tend to have the most problems against scouts smart enough to back away from me. I can kill most other pyros.
