Why do you guys hate CityRP?

Good thing we have Non-cityRP RPs, I'm still disappointed at the fact that Gmod has more mature players than us so they can handle their CityRP-esque mod DarkRP. Well, DarkRP is practically the same thing as CityRP except their servers are more serious than ours.

Their is a long list, but I will tell you one of the main main reasons.

The Police/Criminal system in CityRP is completely forgeted up. Criminals are free to get various weapons and completely unload on everyone. Then when the police are required to stop them, they are forced to run after the criminal swinging a baton and attempting to dodge a clusterforget of bullets just to arrest them. Worst is, the police can't even fight back. If you're a cop and you shoot the criminal then you get demerits and become a criminal yourself.

Last time I checked self defense shouldn't make you a loving criminal.

    I'm fine with a CityRp, as long as it doesn't have crap-builds and all.. I remember one, which was perfect for me, not many crappy builds, there was not alot of killing, until later...
     
    CityRp's are fun, when they don't include People online dating, random police going around jailing you for no freaking reason, or people thinking they're the mobster and killing you asking for 'da doe'

It sucked and due to rumors I have heared it had a "Backdoor.Admin.Expilot" into it so Iban could have Super Admin on you're server and do whatever crap he could do as admin.

Iban does have a personal eval script in later versions of his mod, but I'm not sure if it's in any of the older ones.

I've joined a few CityRPs (Pure RP, no mod) those are pretty fun if you can get good people building... I think I'm gunna go start my old one :D

Well, few people got it... then it was released... then in 1 day it was failed.... then everyone had it.... then every server was city rp... then everyone got bored of it... then some lived... then some dip-forgets came out with city-rp core... then all you do is piece it together and bam you have city rp... and everyone else does...

He's right. There's also the thing I am starting to hate, is that there's beginning to be so many different things you need to know about these, for example
/help
/help jobs
/help commands
/help info
/help criminals
/help hunger
There's so many things you must learn about, and they are all from the CHAT BOX! Why not prompt them with a list of everything? So it gets really frustrating trying to read them because there are so many people talking at once, and it doesn't quite make the commands clear either, the commands to go into a sub help section.

And then even, for example Wicked's GUI, it never says anything about how to browse it or how to open it in the first place.
Some CityRP's are just plain old, how do I get around? In real life there are maps, but for now I'm just plain old lost? How do I get to the forest so I can cut some trees? Where's the police station? Where's the food store?
