I cant aim worth stuff in fps games

I need some help with this. I am not very good at aiming, and if i am in a situation where usually i could easily kill someone, i fail and die. I watched some youtube videos, and those people seem so skilled and they can keep their crosshairs on their enemy. I suck at that.

I have good aim but it's messed up a lot by me spazzing at times.

Like at point blank fighting a Heavy as a Scout.

When using a sniper on DoD:S I always find that going prone reduces crosshair movement and stablizes it.

That's how things usually work in FPS games: the lower the stance, the greater the accuracy.

what I hate is in a lot of games (namely this one), it's hard to hit somebody with a melee weapon. It's NOT hard to hit somebody with ANYTHING from 1 foot away. I'm tired of missing backstabs in the stalker dm build >:c

Stop playing console games with auto-aim.

they all give you huge ass crosshairs and a slight auto aim.
because idiot fps gamers need to be spoonfed.


i love the PC's little dot, or no crosshair at all. so you know its all about skill that killed you and not necessarily a lucky shot.

I'd turn the sensitivity way down, then work your way up to a comfortable speed.

EDIT: Because slower sensitivities make things a bit easier for me, personally.
