If you don't know what Onlive is, it's a Live game streaming service that allows you to play PC games remotely, regardless of the specs of your computer. It's the same idea as Teamviewer. So you could play Crysis at max setting on a computer with integrated graphics. It's a very cool concept, I can't wait to see how this will change the industry. It works similar to Steam. You download the client and use it to purchase games, maintain friends lists, live spectating, and I guess a feature similar to Fraps; but also includes clip sharing among friends through the client. The only obvious difference is none of the games are stored on your hard drive, and the games are not run on your computer, they are run on the Onlive servers.
A service for console games that you play on your TV is planned to be released in the future.
Anyways, discuss
Onlive.
