You need to erase the background for it to be trans.

I'm trying to animate the Chuckola Soda emerging from his barrel and then going back in.

I made a gif of a blooper, but when I try to upload it as my avatar, it gives me an error message that the attachment could not be saved because it either took to long to upload or is too big. The gif is 58x75 and  32,8 kB.

Did I cross a limit? And if I did, how do I fix this?

Well, my avatar is MUCH bigger than that.

You can use avatars bigger than 75 x 75 but then they can't be transparent. The avatar I had before the one I had before this one was bigger than 75 pixels and wasn't transparent because of that.
