I spent 7 hours on just the first version of sheyl :I
spending 5 minutes drawing some crappy sketch once a week doesn't make you draw better.

why don't you spend some time on one drawing so that you can make something that doesn't suck?

For any of you who remember Sheyl v1 and v2, I completely redrew her and made it not terrible in general. For those of you who don't, here's Sheyl.

I've been working on it for several hours because I'm a slow artist. I made this in PSE with a tablet. It's not based off of anything, though I did draw a quick sketch as a guide. I know the arrow looks weird, and the perspective is off in general, but hey, live and learn. I think it turned out decent enough to post.

Seven hours is a long time to work on that, I draw and sketch a lot so when I decide to spend more time working on anything it wont take me so long to do it.

Forcing your brain to draw good with a small amount of time would increase the quality of longer projects later on.
Quick sketches are productive, but its a slow method when you don't try and apply yourself to the sketches.

...also, these are interesting, anyways.

but yeah, constantly doing undetailed and sloppy drawings doesnt make you better at detailed and polished drawings.
