Choose to specialize in long swords
use the weapon given to you at the start, which is not a longsword

Wow I feel really stupid.
I completely forgot this until now.
No wonder I hit like 5% of the time.
Stamina is still drained really fast though.

I still like oblivion for not having 70 weapon specializations
that and I've never gotten into morrowind

I kinda like the idea of not being able to murder people too much. Let's say your victim is trapped in a room, you just got oppressed by your boss/teacher/mentor and you want to slice as much stuff open as possible.
So, you whip out your sword and beat the guy up endlessly.
