Draco you are an idiot.
There are more than one type of shotgun shells. Birdshot, Buckshot and Slug.
Slug is like a standard bullet but for shotgun.
Buckshot is commonly used in shotguns because of the spread it leaves, which gives major damage to the victim/object of the shot.
TF2 only uses buckshot at the moment, they are talking about the scoped rifle might use slugs.
