Author Topic: Network Hijack  (Read 1890 times)

Lol, I got a network hijack just this morning. All I can say is thank god I have another computer. Well, not really a hijack, but a virus deleted my DNS. I have Microsoft Security Essentials doing a full scan right now. I think it may be the Win32/Alureon.H Virus. MSE keeps disinfecting it. Any ideas of security programs that I could use alongside MSE? (Not including expensive Norton and McAfee.)

Avira, AVG Antivirus, ESET NOD 32

Avast!

Just wanted to note their new update really does make them look like Spyware :/

How about spyware doctor or malwarebytes? I know Spyware Doctor costs money, but it's rated high by a lot of people, so... yeah... Alureon is a type of conflicker worm. I guess it's the worst virus of 2010.

Malewarebytes to remove it, but use Avast! afterwards to maintain protection

Okay I'll try that. I'll let you know later.

Spy sappin' my network.

I had to say it before someone else did.

OMG I think I found what was bugging my computer. 6 viruses. Well, 4 Exploiters, and 2 Trojans.

Luckily MSE got rid of them successfully.

I use AV Security Suite. It's free and it's the best!
Not really, it's a virus.

I use Norton because my parents bought a year :(

First thing I did when I got this PC was disabling the antivirus.

That's a fun virus to have! I had it about 3 weeks ago!
