Author Topic: the youth of today brings me to shame  (Read 4823 times)

Are you kidding? I still have A PC with Windows 98 on it, and it works fine. And getting a virus is the owners fault for not being careful.
But with macs there is no scanning that has to be done, and no money has to be spent for virus software. Therefore it is easier and cheaper. Also, Windows 98 computers tend to run slowly compared to many other computers, PCs and Macs.

So your point is that your friend's a weeaboo?

The "no virus" thing is just an excuse because Mac owners are usually stupid people who would catch a virus.

So my father is stupid because he got tired of spending stuffloads of money on virus software? Having to constantly update the database and run scans practically every day? Having to worry everytime he surfs the web that one web address mistake can lead to a massive trojan that can wipe of the whole C drive? Yeah, he's stupid alright, stupid enough to get a computer that doesn't constantly give him problems.

Aren't you the one who attempted to remake RTB?
Wait, someone seriously tried that?

If your dead was getting viruses that often he's a handicap. I've been using computers since I was a toddler and I've never once gotten a computer-wiping virus. In the history of this computer (the only one I've used exclusively) I've never gotten a single virus.

I'm not saying he ever did. I was simply pointing out what a pain in the ass it is defending yourself against one.

But Macs get less viruses and tend to last longer than PCs.
Because if you have a PC your expected to have a brain and not download everything you see and go to virus-trojan-Iwantyourbankaccount.com.

Now you're making it seem like you'd have to be an idiot to get a virus. It's really not that hard to get a virus. Or for that matter, spyware.

Did you not see the reply I wrote to that quote?

I've gotten viruses from familiar sites. Hell, I've gotten them from mainstream sites, and downloads.
