i don't usually like to flip, the only flipping i ever do is decanting because i'm 100% sure of the profit that i can get. decent profit for prayer pots and flips immediately so you don't have to wait for the market
but that's not great money as opposed to 200-ish for minerals to 1.5k for rocktails
besides i'm not in it for the money, i would rather have the skillcape

Find out when massive combat events happen and buy food and pots beforehand, sell them later for profit. I made a forgetton of money buy buying a bunch of sharks before the wilderness was going to be returned and selling them the day of the reintroduction.

how does them selling exp get rid of bots at all? bots are mostly operated by gold farmers, not 12 year olds trying to get level 99 crafting.
