They actually did have a purpose and were a source of free stuff for newbies. if you're so busy getting yew trees that someone asking you about sandwiches is disrupting you and preventing you from enjoying yourself, you might as well be playing loving civilizations or spider solitaire.

k so fixed my first problem, now I have another, whenever Im playing, after some time, the entire screen will go white. cant do stuff after that happens besides reload and log in again

do you have bloom on?
a glitch with bloom WILL turn the screen white randomly, i think
so if you do, turn it off
i noticed this during zogre flesh eaters and desert treasure
