The majority of the time spent doing quests is usually spent in the normal RuneScape areas where randoms could affect you and get in the way. The common randoms weren't a problem, but having a maze all too frequently whilst travelling from place to place was so annoying.
As for the pretty terrible brown townogy you just made up, it doesn't make any difference how long you've played the game for. It doesn't take long to have experienced all of the random events. What's wrong with wanting to remove chocolate icecream? I would happily walk into a shop and request the removal of chocolate icecream I didn't like 7 years ago which was still there.
