but then random structures out of nowhere no longer allowed to be a thing

They really do need lots of wild areas, that way there's more space to expand.

Always thought player homes should be small, in-world, and free-to-play. You'd still have to buy them for massive amounts, they'd retain commodity status, but it'd be interesting.
