What template should i use in google sketchup for a pistol?

Templates are simply unecessary. Choose the default, and just wing it. Sketchup isnt exactly what you'd call difficult. But don't expect the rest of the work needed to get the model in-game to be so easy. Because it won't be. At ALL.
