Ad also, survive what exactly, as they allready didn't survive the zombie virus..

Actually....Zombies can swim.
In a SHTF situation, I'd bring my Mosin Nagant and my 9mm pistol, then I'd have Freeze dried food (1 year supply, you don't know how long you'd be out on the move), Pork'n'beans, a pan, Cleaning supplies, first-aid kits, medical experience, and water (water filters as well).
If the virus could travel through the air, most people would be screwed, I'd also prepare a gas-mask just in case.
