If it works for you then great. Later on you'll understand, and if that still doesn't phase you then write up another comment correcting me. I'm attempting to convince you on how impractical a UI edit like that is, and I couldn't care less if you take my advice or not.
On Topic:
The build is very basic. It's nothing to be excited about, but it's still good. My opinion shouldn't stop you from sticking with your style of building.

It wasn't ment to be very unique, i should go on to say it's the first map to the Aftermath of The Blood Ties.
Offtopic: I've had this UI edit for about a month now, i do agree, i can't do placement without a small amount of re-coloring to see where the brick ends.
