I was cleaning and missed the public forum, though from what I've heard it wasn't well attended.

I absolutely love how Steam announcements are as obvious as someone coming online. I see enough of those stupid boxes down there to not even look for announcements.

I see a lot of Lizard Lounge announcements and events. I tend to tune them out too.
