--- Quote from: Caution on August 03, 2010, 01:31:23 AM ---My bad. Anyway is this actually better than Sim City? --- End quote --- Well, Cities XL was sort of fun. It was easier if you just kept going and going and going and didn't stop dead in your tracks (and watch your income go from the green thousands to the red negative ten thousands), and you aren't at all limited to a grid placement which allows for neighborhoods of any size and roads/bridges that actually just normally curve instead of jutting diagonally, it's better. The only thing is just do NOT buy Cities XL. It's just a total waste with the memory leaks and if you don't even have a high end computer you're forgeted. Inv3rted couldn't even run it speedily with his GTX285's in SLI and 8GB of RAM. It's fun really but the performance problems in Cities XL just ruin it. Just wait for XL 2011. |
| Caution:
It sounds bitchin'. I might have to look into it more, provided they fixed all the crap in the earlier one. |

In SimCity you can zone dense industrial, residential or commercial right off the bat which throws off beginners sort of. In XL, you start with very basic zones and work your way into denser zoning. Also maps are much more realistic but sadly there are no disasters or terraforming :( |
| Caution:
Damn, I always enjoyed the fire. The part about the retail shopping and etc. was a bit unclear, would that be more interactive here? |
