How the hell could that be fake.
Ask the people who post them in there. Same thing in this one if you can dig up all the posts made by the Call of Duty fanatics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gogAGLLl1U&feature=related

What a bunch of phenomenal idiots.

I like how the shotguns in Fallout New Vegas (being that it has more variety) act like their real life counter-parts, one being the Hunting Shotgun actually acts like one instead of some 2 feet sprayer. Not sure what model it is based off of though, Remington..?

Sometimes, I wish that people in Battlefield 3 would hold still like that and be more tactical.

Project Reality for BF2 is like this.

Movies and video games are meant to be flashy and cool, real life is not.

Redundant thread is redundant.
This is true.
Very few games go for complete utter loving realism.
You cant shove an AK into your computer and have a completely accurate gun.
Alot of games work with the loving military to see how the guns are.
GAMES ARE MEANT TO BE FLASH. NOT ALL ARE COMPLETELY REALISTIC TO THE POINT
WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE SCRATCHES AND DENTS IN IT.
YOU loving MORON.
Only handicaps think the guns in games are the same in real life.
Also, it takes a short while to reload a gun because you have to find the loving magazine first.
It doesn't appear out of nowhere into your hand like loving magic.

My two favorite guns are the AK-47 and Moss-12 shotgun.

in Fallout 3 I actually run up to people when I'm using a combat shotgun :cookieMonster:

Since I can't find any suitable guns topic, does anyone here own the Ruger Mini-14? What do you think about it?

They're good rifles if that's what you're asking. In terms of your first gun, I'd suggest a lower caliber.

I've been practicing some with a .22 rifle, gonna need a lot more before I'm a decent shot though.

Yeah, going from a .22 to a .223 is a pretty good change, just practice a little more. Lol, I haven't shot my .22 in so long.

In my lifetime, I've shot a S&W 4" .357 Magnum, Some sort of Variation of the M9 (Looks the same, but the recoil mechanism is different), a .22 Cricket (Got it when I was 5), and some .22 Winchester rifle I have now.

The only FPS game I trust in terms of realism (mostly) is ArmA. But that's not perfect though. Just very good.

You can never rely on video games to be realistic. If you want a realistic experience, go visit your friendly neighborhood army recruiter and go into active service when we're in a war. Sure, shooting in a video games is easy enough, try shooting when you're under stress, getting shot at and likely tired and sweating.
