Yes but I still have one and a Slim.
I tried this on my 40GB and dust flew out everywhere.

I have a 20GB and a slim so I can never try this

They had 20GBs? Damn. :o
Besides, the Slim already makes like no noise. Dust was building up in the vents and the fan sounded like a jet engine.
Also, I think there's a way to try it with other models.

At release there was a 20 and 60GB version. $100 difference so yeah
