Starcraft 2 - Blockland players on SC2 unite
Welknair:
I just got the "Zerglot" Achievement. Lol'd.
I got it after I used a an infestor to take control of a probe and make a nexus, which I used to produce probes of my own and eventually a gateway. When I made a zealot, I got the achievement.
I wonder if there's something like that for terran.

The game isnt made for mass to mass attacks.

The mass vs mass will always happen. Good games have considerable harass in them as well though. As Zerg, I take pride in the ability to mass up a massive army lategame in a matter of minutes that is designed to counter my enemy.

In AoM and AoE mass battles were the awesome thing :(
Starcraft is more like complicated chess whereas other RTS games are war simulators.

ya exactly :/
i think the first one just turned out that way.. but the second one they definetly overkilled the whole chess type thing you said
Bisjac:
starcraft is more like paper-rock-scissors with the units. cept there are like 20 options instead of 3.
starting to defend by using the correct units you think will work on your current enemy.
then long term defending with a proper balance depending on what the enemy is using.
its a race to find and execute that balance.
this isnt like the last star craft where you just pump out a million of the same 1 unit and it can work. they fixed this game to be a little more complex.
age of empire games were more about numbers then what units and upgrades you had.
