How many gigabyte's is TF2?

My team fortress folder says 3 gigs. That's not the actual size of the game itself, is it?

No, my folder says 745mb. But I haven't downloaded any custom maps/etc.

Hurr, I'm just wondering, and I said why don't they put it at the bottom where it say's system requirement's, where most of the games do.
