Poopie doodles. I just saw the BioShock Infinite gameplay trailer. I could not believe my eyes, I had to watch it three times before I could grasp the sheer awesomeness of this game. Seriously.
I can't tell what's a scripted event or not, everything just smoothly runs together or something. I'm really at a loss of words.
I saw the shotgun, I'm going to try to model it :D

--- Quote from: MegaScientifical on September 29, 2010, 02:44:36 AM ---[*]It's BioShock Infinite.
[*]It takes place in the floating city of Columbia.
[*]Columbia was created by the US Government to tout its superiority over other countries.
[*]The city had a secret purpose, being in relation to a battleship.
[*]Due to the above, it was well hated by those it shown itself to.
[*]Saltonstall, a politician, is a main antagonist of the game.
[*]There are large creatures in the city called Alphas (AKA Handymen).
[*]These creatures are powerful, able to lift horses running at full speed, and chuck them with ease.
[*]You have abilities called Vigors, and passive abilities called Nostrums.
[*]Unstable Nostrums offer 3 different abilities. Once one is chosen, it's permanent.
[*]Travel between areas of the city can be accomplished via the Sky-Line, utilizing Sky-Hooks.
[*]Sky-Lines will also be the staging area of quick-paced fights in some instances.
[*]The player will experience what, at the moment appears to be, hallucinations as he/she passes through the city.
[*]Elizabeth, a main character, is able to augment the players abilities to be more powerful. This at her own expense.
[*]Elizabeth's only friend, and at the same time jailer, is a giant flying creature called "Him."
[*]Throughout the game, Him will try to bring Elizabeth back to captivity from Booker.

[*]Elizabeth was held captive there for 15 years.
[*]This sets the cities completion date sometimes before 1897.
[*]Due to this, it is long before the discovery of Plasmids and Tonics.

This all not to mention that is seems apparent these people are not as close to genius as Rapturians. So it's not renaming, it's the logical choice to give them a name these peoples would have chosen where as Rapturians would have had no prior knowledge. Also, more notes:

[*]Vigors, unlike Plasmids, offer a limited number of uses.
[*]This is determined by the power of the Vigor.
[*]They are removing the circular selection GUIs.
[*]They are giving the player less ability to switch between their weapons, including Vigors, so as to force the player to learn their arsenal instead of ignoring the ones they simply don't like for ones they'd prefer.

Yes, the gameplay was quite amazing. The bell tower falling over was reportedly a game dynamic, and not actually scripted. They referred to it as a "setpiece moment." The action within the video was also supposed to be the actual gameplay dynamic amp'ed up instead of a set of scripted, unlikely events.

Woo. I think this may be classified as art, it just looks and feels so beautiful. <3
It seems I'm a big fan of the Fallout series, and I'm highly anticipating F:NV. But, I may like this game even more :O!
