Having trouble downloading a mod for M&B Steam version.

I am currently trying to figure out how do dl a mod onto my steam M&B.
i would have it already, if the m&b that i have has a Mod/add-ons folder.
its supposed to have one, it does not on my steam one.
any help is appreciated.
