I'd say, start a donation button for all those players who want to help you out.

Based on feedback there are some people who want to donate just once, others who want to donate occasionally and some crazy people who would be happy with a subscription.

I think I may just go with a one-time payment just because I don't really want to mess about with managing subscriptions and all of that jazz, but the option to donate multiple times would still be there - and maybe once you reach X dollars of donations you get some super cool thing. The minimum subscription would be $5 I think but you can choose however much you want.

I'll also add a way to subscribe on behalf of friends too.

But yeah, thanks for the feedback. It's good to see a positive reception to the idea. I don't think it'll be implemented any time soon but it's nice to know it's an option for the future.

I'm not too keen on hosting private "RTB Premium" servers. I don't think how much money you're willing to pay should define who you get to play with.

long term projects would be taken more seriously by the handful of people in it, and it would be on different grounds then a clan project, random people are fun to play with on large things.

That'd be an interesting thing to try - like a club that costs money to join, which then gives you access to the servers. I wouldn't associate it with RTB at all, but I'd be interested to see it done by someone. It makes the decision of what to do with the money harder though, especially if the person running it is using a home computer or something.

real clans arent free.
granted blockland hasn't really had that type of clan before.

normally clans have monthly dues, that pay for the site and server.
instead of a group being on a basis of skills and friends. people who pay can be joined.

edit;
people dont have to feel cheated because the money isn't being spent back at them. they are already given the benefits of the club and server.

just take the money yourself, and spend it on RTB competitions or something.

He has decided that it's not going to be a monthly fee. It's also not going to cost $200 for a one time payment.

It's going to cost less than Blockland itself, so if someone payed for Blockland, they shouldn't have a problem with paying for RTB.
