Re-Started Modelling - Decent weapon model?

How would I go about making a hollow cylinder in ms3d?

I know...this control thing does my head in, blocking most downloads due to some filters and stuff. Not sure how I'm gonna get Blockland v17 when it comes out...the curse filter drives the control thing mad...
