Yeah. The new one doesn't have the RRoD anymore. It has the Red Dot of Death.

Haha funny.

But seriously, It has a lot better cooling system, and as far as I've heard, there hasn't been any real problems with it.

Now, I've played both PS3 and 360 quite a bit and I'd have to prefer the 360. While the PS3 does have a wide selection of games (As opposed to the 360 being somewhat of a "shooter system"), online isn't the greatest, through it's free. Nobody uses mics. It does have a few pretty good games (Warhawks, Littlebigplanet, etc.).

360 has way better online play and most games support it. Although you do have to pay for it, and the price is being raised $10 for a yearly subscription, it's still a great thing to have. The best way to think of it is like buying a new game every year, which most people do anyway. Exclusive games like Halo Reach make the system great because the are great games.

Also, the majority of people that bought non-360 systems that I know eventually bought a 360.

should i buy a used 360 from gamestop for $119?
im iffy about it because no warranty and i want this stuff to last as long as my ps2

Also, I know some people who own the 360 w/ Gold. So if I get an 360, i'm definitely getting Gold :D
Bisjac:
ps3 exclusives are better then 360 exclusives.

paying for xbox live is friendry. you already own the expensive games, why pay just to use them?
and if you are paying for xbox live, why do they still show you tons of adds?

ps3 is always simply updated automatically with new major technological features as tvs and media advances.
while xbox remains that stupid box that red rings on you.
