I don't know what the hells wrong with both of your choices of video games but GTA4 is a loving amazing game.
Saints Row 2 is the same thing but with black people.

Personally, I think San Andreas is better. GTA 4 is just too watered down.

San Andreas was fun but obviously very different than GTA4. I think GTA4 really shot for realism and achieved it. For example, do you really think it's watering down because you can't hijack an ambulance and do vigilante rescue missions and get paid by... someone?
GTA4: Fun. GTASA: Just as fun, but different.
Also you can't go wrong with 4's graphics.

The minigun disappeared. Poof went the Stinger. Fighter jets? Psssh, have an attack helicopter with four miniguns that can't kill stuff. Realism just doesn't work for GTA.

The only part of SA I played was MTA and I hate MTA enough.
It's graphics are really weird too. For a game from 2005 it has pretty awful shapes.
