Help with icon

Im trying to make an icon, but i dont know how. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
here's the icon and the icon palette:

1. Take gun image
2. Place on top of icon image
3.

Fizzles:

He's clearly using MS paint based on the resolution of his gun picture, I bet he was having problems with the transparency.
Try paint.net
