It's true that Crystal animations had more frames than sprites in other games, but 2 frames is enough for the sprites to be classified as animated.

you should note that they said 2 SPRITES, not frames.

I don't know if you just can't understand this or something, but the two sprites are here:

sprite 1: view of pokemon from behind (lucario is using this sprite)
sprite 2: view of pokemon from in front (lucario's opponent is using this sprite)

each pokemon has 2 sprites, front and back. these sprites are never used together in a sequence to form an animation.

Mr.Interceptor:

Open up Firefox if you have it, choose an article of whatever Pokemon and scroll down to the sprite section to see what I'm talking about. You need Firefox because the Gen IV sprites are animated .PNGs on the site.

Camera:

And then they just bob up and down while you are choosing your option.

Moybus:

I have Firefox but the images aren't loading, I'll take your word for it anyways.

I'm still excited about more animations, even though I dont even have a working DS anymore.

if I bought the game, would it be legal for me to emulate it on my computer?

So it's not just me.
