Uristqwerty, I agree with you. Sorry if this next statement causes arguments, but... Perhaps you're seeing bad add-ons because you're not looking hard enough or you don't understand them. I agree that there are some pointless add-ons out there, but maybe the "legends" are taking longer to make better add-ons? Maybe they have higher priorities than video games? Maybe they're running out of ideas? Even now, I'm still seeing nice to impressive add-ons, while others are merely adequate. But am I complaining? No. If you do understand the add-on and it still seems like crap, then maybe you aren't seeing every use to it? People have different opinions. They may find different uses to different add-ons. It's like for the Crosshair picker add-on. Many people found it useless. Others loved it. I like it because it adds variation to the default and that I'm able to make my own. And yet still, some of the crap-ons start off badly, but sometimes, as the creator learns, their add-ons will get better or the current crap-on will improve with later versions. Perhaps they don't fully understand the modeling program? Perhaps they're new to scripting or coding? Perhaps they're having trouble fixing bugs or glitches in the mod? Good mods take time and experience. I'm a scripting-know-nothing, but I'm at least capable of... understanding the aspects of new mods and finding areas that could use improvement. I may get an add-on and simply wait for a later version, but some may never update. It takes time and patience to make add-ons. Something that I, personally, don't see much. Do you people follow me? |

You sir have obviously not checked the forums in a long time. There seems to be a lot of good add-ons well on there way into the game. How 'bout some patience? |
