Easily possible. RP doesn't necessarily mean talking to people and setting up families and building houses etc. It can mean adventure RPs like medieval or space where most of it is evented. Personally, I think these are better since you get more to do and it's fun.

My colony RP where me and some other guys were dorfs and Cyanian led the cyan island and such was pretty fun. Everyone was able to get fire igniters and burn down other buildings and such.
