 I think the shortbow should not do much damage, but fire faster than the longbow. As well:

Type: Ranged
Name: Light/Heavy Crossbow
Description: A crossbow. It doesn't charge, always deals the same damage, but reloads slowly, as in a 2/3 seconds, respectively. Damage: 70/80 damage, or 90/100 damage on headshots.
Purpose: Dwarves tend to use this as a ranged weapon, and the light version is favored by rogues and assassins.

Category: Vehicle
Name: Ballista
Type: Turret
Description: A large crossbow mounted on a vehicle spawn. Brick damages to break through huge walls. Large bolts have a high velocity and are affected by gravity, but only a little bit. Only full "charge" or no shoot. Charges automatically after each shot, and takes a long time. Does massive damage.
Purpose: To kill other players. Including their horses and special players with extra health or something. Can also be used to break down walls.
Edit: You know, I just thought, for a DRPG this might be bad as it is stationary. Maybe make an item like a "wrench-type" where you hit a certain block with your item and it'll mount you on a ballista that simply appears. Sort of like Bushi's Hang Glider. Click right button to get off, and it disappears when you do. Or, you can make it a one use item to make it so the player can't "regenerate" their ballista.

Yeah, that's a better idea.

Yet another suggestion:
Category: Weapon
Name: Forearm Spikes
Type: Fist/Arm-mounted Weapon
Description: Spiked gauntlets and arm guards that can be used in hand to hand combat for dealing extra damage.
Purpose: To have REALLY COOL LOOKING hand to hand combat sequences.
