Author Topic: Help, computer forgeted.  (Read 1104 times)

OK, first I'm not going to be a bitch, I'm serious.

Problem: Turned on my computer, noticed my resolution was 800x600, i always have it at 1440x900. I go into control panel and go to change my resolution back, but the resolution 1440x900 was not on the slider bar anymore, i try the fix Ive always done when Ive had this problem and it worked, but that didn't work and now when i try that fix it says 'out of range' in a blue box on my screen. then once my screen came back on i restarted my computer to see if that would work, OK it restarted and now once it gets to the login screen i see the message 'out of range' on my screen and it wont go away, Ive tried launching it in safe mode but it doesn't have my ATi drivers. help.

Reinstall the drivers? What kind of OS and computer do you have?

Yeah, yeah. can i have some real help?

Try google, because the best advice you're going to get ehre is "delete system32"

Sounds like in an attempt to adjust your graphics some, due to the horsestuff internal card you are using...

You broke your video drivers. Reinstall

I cant reinstall my drivers because it just a black screen with 'out of range' in a blue box. it does not close or anything.

There must be a button "Autoset" To autoset screen's resolution.

Out of range means the resolution is set at a setting to large for your current monitor, or a problem similar.

Start in safe mode.

And don't tell me you can't, because that is an option before windows even starts up and a screen resolution is even loaded.

Is the blue box all over the screen?

i will start it in safe mode, download the drivers for my card on the family computer im using now and then use a flash drive to put the setup on my computer and install them. hope it works.

EDIT: Didnt work, got the error 'failed to detect system config' or something. :C
