Author Topic: Half-Life movie?  (Read 4707 times)

I think the acting in that kinda sucks.
agreed but the concept is great

Maybe it shouldn't be based around freeman:
That's for Half-Life 2, where making plots about other characters are easy. The occasional scientist or security guard wouldn't work.

Valve made the plot of a security guard (Barney) into a game. It's called Half-Life: Blue Shift. Haven't played it because the reviews it's not that great.

Barney Calhoun doesn't seem like a character to base a movie on.

But you could take a scientist trying to escape and base a movie around him.

I'd watch a team fortress 2 movie, their "Meet the" are really great movie material.
agreed

a five to ten minute show(half-life and/or team fortress 2) on adult swim would be interesting, any longer would be too much.

Only for TF2

Half-Life has enough plot to make a full length movie. TF2 doesn't have much of one

Not everything needs a clanmovie

Valve's actually thinking about making one.  Not live action, but CG, so I'm thinking it may be rendered in Source.  And I doubt it will revolve around Gordon.

I never said "everything"...?

I'm thinking they'll do it around Half-Life 2, considering how much more popular it is, plus the graphics.

It would suck, the way movies are made anymore they would have to make some kind of romance between Alyx and Gordon (ex: LOTR: Arwen isn't really mentioned much in the book compared to her crying and horse-riding in the movie) that would richard everything up, then they would probably be too preoccupied with turning Gordon into a violence-obsessed freak putting aside the fact that he's a scientist, and would probably be extremely rattled by killing other humans.

Well, if it's made by a director that doesn't suck and alters the movie in a bad way...

What?
The way you said it made it seem like it, I suppose.
