I think belnder was easier to learn myself. I could actually do stuff on blender. I made my first model without knowing anything or seeing a tutorial. |

(One word) Blender! I choose that because it is free and it auto smooths,also texturing is easy and the animations. |

Also if you develop more interest in modeling and want to move on to more complex stuff, you won't have to learn another program if you start with Blender. |
