What should i Model? (Need a new request.)

Sorry for the double post but I dont know how bricks work. How to get the top notches, And i dont understand how to make them. I tried looking for a tutorial, but i got nothing. If you know one then tell me.
Edit: Before this goes to much offtopic, I really need a good suggestion to work with.
