Make Maps Darker?

So I downloaded this map. It's supposed to be dark. It's not. It's a little less bright, but it's not dark. Anyone know if there's a simple way to reduce the light on a map?

Just get destruct.. or slate aurora.. even slate scary if you want. those are all dark

I find that the Plate 2 pack's dark maps are dark enough for me.

Try this.
Practically lower the values of lighting, and if it is a Grayscale value use those above. Click Apply, then Press Ctrl+L

I tried getting mission editor but it was... difficult.

I need it to be a sea map, and I kind of hate the water texture that Plate has, how it's just bricks :P Slate Sea Dark which was made by some random person who I forget seemed good but the download is broken.
