Here are some of my tactics/classes
To piss people off
Use a riot shield/throwing knife combo
To piss people off part 2
Use an m4a1 grenade launcher and one man army and noobtube randomly across the map.
To snipe:
Barret and spas 12 red dot sight
hide in shrubs and/or lay down in the grass.
move frequently (after each shot/kill) to avoid detection
Normal (assault) class
M4a1 acog sight and rangers akimbo
use rangers to clear buildings of enemies. run through doorways because there are most likely claymores in them.
Other people's predictable habits
Check on rooftops/in windows near busy intersections for snipers
Run through doorways because people put claymores there
"peek" around corners because there is most likely an enemy coming around it
Map Specific
Favela
Check on the roofs and windows near the soccer field
Check in the barbershop
Watch out for people hiding in dark corners
Wasteland
It's usually a game of Capture-the-Bunker.
Look in the central bunker for people.
People stand on crates and things in the bunker.

New tactic of mine: (I used in Cod4 recently.)
I camp in a high traffic area, for about 2 kills, then move about 10 feet over, and catch people by suprise.

Never kill anyone when in a game of setting the bomb.
I play on xbox with my cousin and his friends and i NEVER kill anyone.
But the first bomb setting you see is mine.
When in a *less* populated bomb server as the defenders,split up near the bomb.
Groups come less in unpopulated,if any.
If you have been grenaded before in any shape or form that was player-made,not bomb,do NOT group.
Wasteland:
Ah,wasteland. I always loved that place.
Capture the bunker for all.
The best thing to do is to sneak around to the enemies side of the battlefield seeing as a lot of people fight for the bunker.
Eliminate. Eliminate. Get shot in the face with the mass amounts of snipers.
NEVER run into a less populated by your own team area. Snipers pick you off less,Wasteland is a grassy map.
