My xbox is on top of our DVD player and it runs fine. Of course, if you get the Elite or Slim model, you won't get a RRoD unless you get a faulty one. |

I've had my xbox for almost 3 years, and I've only gotten a RROD from a faulty disc. I have it on my desk, it's open and get's plenty of ventilation.
