Did someone put me in charge of bumping this topic while I wasn't looking?

Flying dragon:  Should add small talons on tips of wings?

Um, not to disappoint, but I'm going to remove those claws in the final version of the model. Not that I think they look bad, it's just that I think it would be odd if the air dragon had claws, when it's only supposed to only use fire attacks, and no melee.

Gives him something to crawl with :\
he has no grip without talons

Personally, I think the claws give him character. Plus it gives him something else to distinguish it from V1.

Oh bother  >.>

We decided before that Air dragons should not be able to maneuver well on land.

I suppose it could be viewed that way. Though I don't see how having no claws removes character. That's like saying every simple model has no character. In my opinion, removing the claws would only change the character, not lessen it.
And the head (only slightly) body, and wings are all different from V1. But then again, why does it even need to look much different form V1? >.>

The only reasons I want remove the claws is to emphasize that air dragons have no melee attacks, so they have to rely on their flight and firepower (bad pun is bad), and I honestly don't think the calws fit the rest of the Air dragon design.
I suppose I could keep them if you guys really really want them to stay, but you'll have to give me a freakn' good reason why to keep them.

The claws on the Air dragon look horrible.

Just saying.

I have no good reason and think they can be removed.

You could always try making them a classic "Hook Claw", like Bats have.

I think it would be better to be removed because of the style of the dragon. I always thought of flying dragons as more graceful, and the claws kind've kill that look. They look a lot better just on the land dragon.

*cough*bump*cough* Ahem...excuse me!...

Well my point is that they would be dwarfed so that melee would be useless.

EDIT:  The "Hook Claw" idea seems good.
